Pema Chödrön is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage. She’s one of the first American women to be ordained as a nun in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and the resident teacher and founding director of Gampo Abbey, a monastery on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
She is internationally renowned and has conducted workshops, seminars, and meditation retreats around the world. She is also a prolific author with such works as When Things Fall Apart, The Places That Scare You, How to Meditate: A Practical Guide to Making Friends with Your Mind, making it onto the NY Times Best Seller’s list.
