What would a trip to Memphis be without a stop at What would a trip to Memphis be without a stop at Graceland! From the moment I walked through those famous gates, it felt like I stepped into a rock 'n' roll time machine. The house? A glorious mix of glitz, charm, and 70s flair - and don't even get me started on the Jungle Room! Tarzan meets Vegas! (Shag carpet everywhere - even on the ceiling... because why not, right?) Elvis was a student of religion & he added the peacocks in living room in 1974 as they were an ancient Christian symbol of eternal life and resurrection. And the pool room is completely upholstered. It took a crew of three about 10 days to cut, piece, pleat and hang the 350-400 yards of cotton fabric to the walls and ceiling. My favorite area was the showcase of the King's iconic studded jumpsuits, this room could blind a disco ball. Overall, it was definitely fun! Graceland isn't just a house — it's a whole vibe. 🎼 For All You ELVIS Fans!🎶🎤 Today I visi 🎼 For All You ELVIS Fans!🎶🎤 Today I visited music history & meditated on the front porch swing of a tiny two-room house in Tupelo, Mississippi — this is the place where Elvis Presley was born. There’s only a bedroom & i guess what you wouid call the “everything eise room” - for its the kitchen, living, dining room all in one. No bathroom, but instead a small outhouse a short walk from the house. The Assembly of God Pentecostal church that Elvis went to as a young boy is also here. There’s something powerful about standing where someone’s story began — especially when that story touched so many hearts around the world. It’s hard to believe that from this tiny and secluded southern town, came a voice that would change music forever.
