Meditation Works Out Your Brain!

Not too long ago, doctors & scientists believed the brain was unchangeable. If we lost brain cells or if parts of the brain were damaged, then unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done about it. But now we know that — THEY WERE WRONG!!

Today’s neuroscientists now have this term called ‘Nueroplasticity‘, which means that the brain can change in both its structure & function.  And with today’s technology, & all the scientific research, its been proven that MEDITATION IS A BRAIN CHANGING TOOL!

Meditation changes your brain

In fact, studies have shown that meditation builds or increases both the brain’s gray & white matter. And the good news is you don’t have to be sitting for hours – you don’t need to lock yourself away in a monastery or go run off to the Himalayan caves – in order to get the results.

 

 

 

The only thing we must do is make a promise with ourselves that we will practice daily; because doctors & scientists have been able to witness & document that after only 8-weeks of 20-30 minutes of daily meditation profound changes in the brain begin to occur. The brain tissue actually increases & gets thicker in that short amount of time. It’s like we are going to the gym & working out our mental muscles.

And this is why I tell my students that:

“Meditation is to the brain, what aerobic exercise is to the heart & weight-training is to the muscles.”

So, why not give it a try & see how meditation can transform your life.
